I got this yesterday, It cost me $350 and took 6 and a half hours to do but it was worth every penny. I would have stayed another 6 hours if I had to becasue the expierience that I had at Darkness Falls Tattoo Parlor in Clementon, NJ was amazing. My tattoo artist, Lou Hansen, is a very talented individual and he is amazing at shading and the lines on this piece are absolutely beautiful. I have been getting endless compliments on how amazing this looks and I’ve only had it for a day.  The reasons I chose an owl are because first of all, I’ve loved owls my entire life, How they look, How mysterious they are, and how amazing they look. I also love owls because they represent solitude, being wise, being powerful and they are majestic. All of these are some of my personality traits. What sealed the deal and convinced me to finally go through with getting an owl tattooed on me was a very spiritual encounter I had with one in the early hours of the morning. It would be too much to write to explain exactly what happened but I felt very connected with it and so close that it kind of creeped me out at first but then I felt like it was looking over me and protecting me. Plus, every time I hear its “hoo”, It sends goosebumps down my spine. It’s such a unique noise and it makes me feel amazing. I just really love owls and I’m very happy that I got this as a first tattoo and I’m beyond pleased with the amazing job that Lou did on this one. I highly recommend anyone that lives in the area of Clementon, NJ to go to him. He really knows what he is doing.
