My first half-sleeve/back piece, which took a total of 6.5 hours between two sessions. The outline was done during the first session and the coloring was done during the second session.
I chose an autumn theme because autumn is the season when everything dies and provides you with a clean start in the spring. It is also the season that I met the love of my life and the season I found recovery from anorexia. I chose an owl because he stands for wisdom and protection. For me, this tattoo means that no matter what life throws at me, I can always start over, have the wisdom to do so, and know that I am never truly alone.
