This is my first tattoo and it’s on my left forearm. This picture was taken at the studio right after it was done. I got my tattoo done at Transformation Tattoo Gallery in Springfield, MO by Austin.
It took 3 hours and was the most painful thing I have ever experienced so I’m glad I got a tattoo that has a lot of meaning to me. This represents a vision I’ve had in my head for a couple of years since I went through a very dark time. It’s a reminder to keep the light and the hope on in the darkness and without the light, all would be lost. There’s also texture of a concrete wall behind the candle that represents the walls that I build up around myself. The candle holder is green because I know that I struggle with depression and green is the color for depression awareness. So this tattoo tells my story and is a reminder for me to stay positive and to keep going.
