This is my father’s latest tattoo, he already has a masonic square and compass and an eagle eating a snake, but this one is much more meaningful.
The Celtic cross represents my family’s Irish heritage, and the bas of the cross will soon become the beginnings of a graveyard type scene (he’s getting it finished soon!) that represents the one outside the family farmhouse in Ireland.
The claddagh ring surrounding the cross represents his love for and marriage to my mother, and myself. I wear a claddagh on my finger and around my neck, it’s my fathers way of having my mother and I with him 24/7.
He got it done at Neon Crab Tattoos and Piercings in London, Ontario, Canada. It took 6 hours.
