Hiya~ This is my first tattoo, and thus my first submission! I’ve known since I was a teenager that I wanted one of my tattoos to be a lotus. Although the exact meaning of the lotus is in flux from tradition to tradition, the red lotus generally signifies passion. This coupled with the general idea of “something beautiful rising from the muck” pretty much sums up why this had to be my first work.
