My second tattoo - September 23rd 2011This picture was taken right after it was done (sorry for my silly looking feet)
These numbers are the coordinates to my house. Some people find this to be odd, or stupid but they don’t understand how much these coordinates have impacted my life.
in 1979, my parents purchased their first house out in the country in a growing sub-division, clear skies, sunsets and lots of room to have a family.
Their initial plan was to fix the house up and sell it for a greater price,However, something happened to my parents that year, they fell in love with it.Yeah the house was a fixer-upper, but take one look out the kitchen window and see the sunset, the purples, blues, yellows, oranges painted across the sky.
They decided to stay, they had my brother in 1981, and my sister in 1984 then I came along in 1993. This house has seen heart ache, pain and loss but it has also been my safe-haven, I grew up here, I grew up with the birch tree in the front, two maples in the back, I grew up with the same neighbors for 19 years. I have flourished here. This is my home. It always will be. Nothing will ever change that. No matter where I live, where I am, even if my parents decided to pack up and leave- this is will forever be my safe haven, point of happiness, security and my home.
side note: my sister has the same thing tattooed on her ribs.
(She recently moved away and this was our way to be together, no matter where we go we always know we can be a family at this point)
