The sun and the moon have always been an ultimate comfort for me. After years of struggling with a drug addiction and keeping my life together, the whole “light” and “dark” thing definitely has strong significance. Now that I’m off the hard stuff, I can really look at the day and realize how much different things got after the sun set and the moon came to take over.. and how relieving it always was to know the sun was always going to rise. When nothing else was stable and I felt alone, I could look to my “pals” up in the sky and know I wasn’t. Now, I can just look at my foot! :P
