This is my first tattoo and I could not be happier. It’s a tribute to my late grandmother, one of the most beautiful people I have ever known. The girl in the picture is a traditional style portrait of my grandmother in her early 20s and the text is from the poem ‘I Carry Your Heart’ by E E Cummings. I read the poem at her funeral, so I have always felt a special connection to it.
