I got this piece at a tattoo convention in Miami yesterday. My husband and I both got versions of the same anchor because we keep each other grounded. We both have a tendency to hit the ‘self-destruct’ button on our lives from time to time and we’re the only people we know who can pull each other back from the brink before we go off the rails. The flowers are symbolic of a special friend of the family who pretty much raised me. She was a member of the church where Josh and I met and was very encouraging of our relationship when everyone else told me it was a bad idea and I was wasting my time with him. She passed away a few years ago, so I’m paying tribute to her, too, because pink carnations were her favorite flowers. <3 Jeff at Shamrock Tattoo from Ormond, Beach FL does amazing work!
