This tattoo was done at Greene Ave Tattoo in Clinton Hill, Brooklyn, NY by my dearly beloved friend Douglas Grady. He’s been tattooing me since before he even had an apprenticeship so I hold him and his work near & dear to my heart.
This piece is the start of my Bukowski themed sleeve, and focuses on the characters from Bukowski’s last published novel before his death, Pulp. You’ve got Nicky Belane’s silhouette at the top, Jeanne Nitro’s sexy alien body to the right, Lady Death’s dark bust to the left, and of course, the red sparrow in the middle. This has been such an exciting journey for me as Charles Bukowski has been such a joy to read and such an inspiration to my own writing
