This is my first straight edge tattoo upon completion. The actual kneecap and the outside of my leg didn’t hurt a bit. The inside was next to unbearable. I am so proud of it, I love the way my artist/colleague designed the diamond to look sparkling.
It’s a very tricky area- the knee. You must watch the lines closely to be sure it doesn’t come out all wonky when the knee is extended or bent. We were a little concerned with the placement, and it took a few tries with the stencil to get it right. He did it perfectly and the diamond looks like a photo perfect smaller version of itself when my leg is extended! Here it is shown very slightly bent.
