Before anyone picks on the fact the the lyrics are wrong i changed it for a reason, this tattoo is for my grandad who was recently diagnosed with cancer. To me the original lyrics weren’t strong enough to how i felt so i changed one word because to me when you carry something inside you can let it go, but when you have something inside of you it never ever goes away. This also explains the idea of the heart and anchor, when something is pierced theres always going to be a permanent reminder of its existence, just like my grandad being a huge part of my life and all my hopes and feelings being destroyed with this one little thing… All in all this tattoo is about my coming struggle with my grandad having cancer, me having to deal with this and more when he passes away.
