This photo was taken by John Gourley himself after I met him & the rest of the band this past spring. I was the last to go up and I just sort of turned my arm at him because I didn’t know what to say. He immediately got out his iPhone to post this on Instagram. I was beyond excited that he loved it.  There’s a long story behind why I got this, but I also just love the work John Gourley does. I didn’t think this tattoo would be possible (since it’s so complex and my arm is so small), but I worked with Nalla to make it happen. We did two sessions, one for the outline and another for the shading, and it barely hurt. Nalla is incredible and his work is gorgeous. Definitely check him out next time you’re in Brooklyn!
