My older Mondrian piece beside by fresh as a daisy CP1919/unknown pleasures work. I love the fact that this sleeve is starting to represent my passions in life; art (seeing a Mondrian hanging in an NYC gallery in the 90s really touched me), music and science. The black lines are famously the artwork for Joy Division’s Unknown Pleasures record sleeve, but it was originally an image from a physics textbook showing the radio signals from the first Pulsar known to science (CP1919 discovered in 1967). Both done by Christos at Sailor’s Grave in Manchester, UK.
