I got this at Newport Tattoo in Newport Beach, CA a couple months ago. The artist is Kareem Masarani, and he is amazing. I was pretty nervous because this was my first tattoo (I have 2) and I usually pass out when I get shots. But it didn’t hurt a bit and I actually almost fell asleep. It’s for my grandfather who worked on ships for a living and he passed away. He was a father to me and I felt I needed to make some sort of tribute.
