My very first tattoo. The open birdcage represents the new beginning in my life and my journey to independence. I chose the sparrow to be flying out because they are known for traveling great distances, but they always return home. I’m very close to my family, and even though I will be moving far away in the next few weeks, I will always be reminded of my roots.
