this is my third tattoo that i just got done today (8/11/12). it’s a picture of these little stacking wooden robot toys that my beloved grandpa used to hide around his house and have me find and then make the tallest tower possible out of them. he’d hide them in his potted plants, in coffee mugs, on his bookshelf, in the couch, etc. this little treasure hunt was always my favorite part about going over to his house and i always looked forward to it with a passion. after he passed away, i asked my uncle to send me pictures of them (if he had any) so that i could get it tattooed on me, since they’re so old that you can’t find an image of them on Google. he did me one better - he sent the actual toys. the color/shading is different but i’m very happy with this. tattoo artist = josh hartley @ humble beginnings tattoo in san jose, CA.  my tumblr = thevolcanodoctor.tumblr.com (btw, it took about an hour and cost $120).
