Hi there, I’m Allison. I had wanted this tattoo for a while and finally I had the chance to get it the day after my 18th birthday as a present from my boyfriend. The reason I got this is because one of my childhood best friends, Patrick,  passed away when I was 11. He was very into nature and I would always find him outside either skating in front of my house or climbing the tree in my front yard with my brother. When he died his family decided to plant a tree in his name at a local memorial site called The Mission of Nombre de Dios in downtown St. Augustine, Florida where we grew up. I visit his tree almost daily since I live downtown now and that’s when I decided a tree for him would be perfect to always remember him by. This is my first tattoo and I am extremely happy with it even though I wasn’t sure I could take the pain halfway through it. I went to Stay True Tattoo and the owner Travis did an amazing job :)
