Touched up version of a drawing I did myself. Not only do my grandmother and godmother collect elephants (that will eventually be handed down to me), but I also just think they’re fascinating. They build clearly observable relationships, respect their dead, and are lead by older females in a martiarchal type of system. They represent wisdom, perserverence, and strong will, all characteristics that I admire. My first tattoo, inside of my right ankle.
