my first tat!! i got it at Maximum Tattoo in Deerfield, IL by Beth Cisco. she was awesome and put up with mild nervousness. the first thing she said to me was, “so you want a carrot and a banana tattoo? you’re weird. i like you.” i gave her the images i had and she drew something up that i loved on the first try. i’m not the kind of person who would get a realistic-looking carrot and banana tattooed to my wrist. i LOVE the cartoon feeling and the way that people try to pick it off like it’s a temporary tat. i chose my favorite fruit and vegetable to represent the lifestyle change i have made after losing 50 pounds. i got it on my wrist so i see it all the time and am reminded of what i have done and where i am going!
