They say, “You are the smell before rain” “You are the blood in my veins”. I got the male and female cardinal because I was from Virginia (cardinal is its state bird) and was about to move to Illinois for college (same state bird) and I didn’t know anyone, was anxious about being on my own for the first time, and needed a reminder of where I was from.
