This piece was pulled due to the statement on the original artist’s tumblr page, which the OP had linked to and I assume was aware of. That particular piece was a tattoo design for myself. It was completely personal, and unique, and I wanted something original, meaning no one else would have it. When I posted it to my art tumblr, I had 11 followers, and none of my art got any notes. I never expected it to get 50 000+ notes between the two images and a rush of hundreds of followers, and hundreds of people claiming it as a tattoo of their own, without even thinking to ask. If you knew me personally, I think you’d understand. Of course I am flattered that people love my work, its amazing, just what I need, but I feel that that personal piece is stolen from me if people get it tattooed. Just that one piece. :(  Just try to imagine how that would feel. Especially if I now have to consider not getting it. I say this for the benefit of you who want the tattoo as well, not just me. Tattoos should be personal, and I don’t think one should get something that isn’t meaningful to them and is on the skin of a handful of other people, people who have gotten the tattoo already without my permission. Wouldn’t you want something unique and original that no one else has? Thanks for understanding. Any other image is fair game, as long as I’m credited. But just that ONE image breaks my little heart.
