This is a Banksy piece he painted on the West Bank Barrier in Israel. The reason I decided to get a Banksy work tattooed was because I love modern art/graffiti/art in general and I think all of Banksy’s work is phenomenal. I chose this specific piece because, whether this was Banksy’s original meaning behind or not, to me it represents the loss if innocence in children in a negative sense. “The girl”(children in general) being taken away from her good, wholesome youth by “the balloons”(drugs, sex, violence, media, etc.) into the harsh, real world.
