I got this tattoo done on March 3rd, 2012. I decided to get this tattoo as a memorial for my grandmother’s death. Growing up, both my parents were hardly ever present. My grandmother was the one who took care of my brother and I.
She passed away May 24th, 2010. I decided to get a cherry blossom because it is often used as a symbol of love. The Chinese characters is a Chinese idiom often used when you miss somebody. It says “One day, three autumns” meaning that one day without that person feels like three years. This tattoo is located on my right shoulder blade. I also decided to get it done there because even I though I can’t see it, I know that she’ll always have my back.
I miss you grandma, and I will always love you <3
