I got the claddagh last sunday. I have struggled with self harm for eight years, I got the “Live…” in ‘09 when things were really getting out of control and I just needed a reminder.
Last year on February 27 I was admitted to the ICU for an overdose. That was the last time I hurt myself. In two weeks I will have gone an entire year safe. I never thought I’d get to this point and I’m really proud I have.
The heart of the claddagh represents love, the hands represent friendship and the crown represents family or loyalty. These things are what have helped me come this far.
