It was a normal night out in Hollyweird. Was hanging out with 2 of my friends who I hadn’t seen in about 6 years, even though it didn’t feel that way. She got this great idea, that we all get the cheesy, stereotypical matching tattoo. So we all got small hearts on our wrists, for our friendship. But it also signifies more than just that. We all met at Heritage, a residential treatment center in Utah. All for different issues, addictions, eating disorders, and mental illnesses. We spent 2 long years with each other, learning about each others problems, learning how to deal with those issues in healthy ways, and becoming best friends. The heart to me, means always wear your heart on your sleeve. Being open and honest with others, is one of the best ways I maintain my sanity. I can’t recover, and be a productive member of society alone, and that’s what friends are for!
