The last two lines of my favorite poem by C.S. Lewis - As The Ruin Falls. In this poem, Lewis talks about how, though in love he was, was only in love very selfishly and that this desire to have his personal needs met were the wrong way to love. Hence, he described the failure of a relationship as a good thing and therefore, he blesses God and the person as the “ruin” of the relationships fall because the pains taught him the most important life-lessons.
