This was my first (and biggest) tattoo, its rose vines that snake up my leg. They are dying at the bottom, then flowering at the top. It represents the bad times in my life, but how everything got better. I used to suffer from depression and self harm helped me to ‘cope’ (the dying flowers), then things started to get better - hence the flowers living at the top. At first, I only wanted a tattoo to cover up the scars but as soon as I’d had it done I absolutely loved it as a piece of art. It is definitely my favourite tattoo.
It was done by Gaz at Sacred Art in Manchester and took just under 6 hours.
