Basically here’s the background behind my tattoo. My mom loves nature and wildlife but unfortunately there’s not much here in Singapore - so I decided to dedicate this tattoo to her. Basically I was looking for an animal which fell under these categories: watched over you/had a watchful eye, represented freedom, and had some relevance to my family. Growing up in Canada, It was common to see hawks and eagles flying around above our house in Kamloops, British Columbia. So I decided to get two hawks. The bottom one to represent my Mom and the top one to represent my Dad. Though I have two years till I leave to college, I’m spending two months away from my parents for the first time. I got this so that they’ll be with me at all times for the rest of my life.
