She was born in 1912, convinced her father to let her go to high school when most girls quit after 8th grade, started working the year of the Great Depression, and she left her abusive husband to raise 4 kids on her own. She worked until the age of 89 when she physically couldn’t anymore. I miss her and wish I had spent more time with her in the year before she passed away. I can only hope to be half as strong, caring, and amazing as she was. I’m so happy to have this on my arm forever. :)
