My left shoulder. Reference by Ernesto Caivano. Tattoo done by Phil Colvin, owner of Memorial Tattoo in Atlanta, GA.
I saw Caivano’s work in a publication by Phaidon. I’ve always been an artist, but sometimes I feel incapacitated by my own hesitation and lack of confidence. There was something so liberating about finding a well respected, skilled draftsman who creates work based on his own beautiful, epic narratives. Thank you, Caivano, for reminding me to self-validate, to be fearless and disciplined.
