I’ve been reading the Harry Potter books since the first one came out, and I’ve loved every single one of the movies. Once the last book came out, it was sad, but I could say, “at least there’s still the movies to look forward to…” And now that’s over too. So I knew I wanted something to really honor the end, and that’s why I went to get these Harry Potter tattoos right before going to the movie. I know the Deathly Hallows and “mischief managed” have been done over and over, but I kind of like the idea of that connection to other fans. Harry Potters fans are a special breed, a huge community, and it’s kind of a solidarity thing for me. It’s the end of an era, and it deserved a permanent reminder.
