My first two tattoos, both done Feb 19, 2010 (by 20th birthday) by Alex when he worked at Shambhala Tattoos in Kamloops, BC. If you haven’t already guessed, they’re the symbols for the Rebel Alliance and Galactic Empire from Star Wars.  My passion/obsession with the Star Wars universe is what prompted me to get them. The paisley tie is because I took the picture at work, after they’d healed. Also, they’re a little more refined than they look. My bulging muscles warp it a bit.   ”Why both?”, people ask me. “Why not show your allegiance to one or the other?”  I got both because I love the idea of balance.  One could not have existed without the other. And if neither existed, we wouldn’t have Star Wars.   I don’t always notice them, as you all may understand having ink in you permanently, but when I do it brings me to a place of nostalgia and just plain makes me feel good.   And May The Force Be With You
