arrr, matey! this is my fresh pirate tattoo, done yesterday 31 july at keepsake in arlington, va. when i was little my family had a river house. once, when i was 4 and my sister was 6, all of our cousins were there. we went to the library and my dad pulled this ancient book off the shelf to show us, and an old treasure map fell out! we smuggled it out of the library, took it home, and figured out all the calculations… the treasure was buried just across the river! we put on eye patches and fake mustaches and ventured across, found the area on the map, and dug up perfectly normal ground. we discovered an ancient treasure chest filled with old coins, ceramics, and candlesticks. eventually we got my dad to admit he had planned the whole thing. however, it wasn’t until march of this year i learned the final details of the story: my dad put together the chest, treasure, map, and buried it before my sister and i were even born (so the grass would grow over)- knowing one day, he wanted to go on a treasure hunt with his children. my dad is a badass pirate. this is his facial hair, the bandana is red for the color of his boat’s shirt/logo, and the little pearl represents myself, because my name means pearl.
