my family’s nickname is the “ewes” [we pronounce it ee-wee] because our last name begins with a U and the word ewe [meaning female sheep] is pronounced “yoo”. my dad was Mr. Ewe, mom Mrs. Ewe, and so on. I’m the youngest, so my dad would always call me “little ewe”. two years ago, my father passed away due to cancer. he was always a big part of my life, so I wanted to get a tattoo to remember him by. a year ago I had a dream I got “little ewe” tattooed on the back of my neck so it was decided. a few weeks ago I decided I wanted feathers as well, because I’ve always thought they were beautiful. the feathers are pelican feathers, my dad’s favourite animal. the picture was taken a few hours after I got it today [August 7th]. it was done by Rachel at Devotion Ink in Nashua, NH. she was amazing to work with and drew up my design perfectly. her specialty is feathers; I highly recommend her!
