This being my first tattoo, I wanted to get something that was both meaningful and unique. Having grown out of mud&dirt and into something beautiful, the lotus flower representation of life and making beauty out of a not so tasteful start is one of the reasons as to why I got it. Another reason is my grandmother who lived with me throughout my childhood tended a garden and always expressed her love for flowers&their simplicity. She passed away when I was only 9 but I’ll always remember working in the garden with her and how she was such a strong influence in my life. Lastly, I drew my tattoo myself so for me it also represents my love for drawing all on it’s own. I absolutely love the way it came out- Brooklyn Ink, Brooklyn, NY
