I am just going into university in the fall for my BSc, I eventually want to get into medicine to become a surgeon. This is my constant reminder that regardless of whatever hell I will have to endure over the next 8 or so years that my goal is to make a difference in the world and do good. Also I find a lot of medical professionals lose track of the reason got into medicine. Sure, the paycheck is really nice, the title of being a doctor is pretty slick, preferred parking is also a nice bonus, however, I want to save lives and make the lives of others better as much as I can.
