[Picture taken about a week after getting tattoo] I have 4 butterflies each one representing myself, sister and parents. I also had each one choose their own kind of style/color of butterfly. Purple - Me Blue - Sister Red - Mama Orange/Yellow - Pops The quote on my back is in my language filipino (visayan to be exact). It’s a section from my grandpas favorite song called Matud Nila. “Dili maluba kining pagbati Bisan sa unsa nga katarungan Kay unsa pay bili ning kinabuhi Kon sa gugma mo hinikawan” Translated into english - “This feeling won’t fade Even though that would be justice Because what else is this life worth If your love isn’t there” My Grandpa passed away recently and it was one of the hardest things my family and i had to deal with, especially for my mom. So why butterflies? I chose butterflies because to me they represent a sense of freedom, change and transition and finally accepting my grandpas death, this is exactly how i felt. The butterflies are positioned to where my sister and i are flying towards my parents because no matter how hard times get we will always have eachother. As for the quote, its from his favorite song. I chose that specific section of the song (refer back to top where quote is) because i will never stop loving or love him anyless just because he is not physically here with me. Thank you so much, for everything.I love you, Lolo ♥
