This is a tattoo I got a few months ago and it really means a lot to me.  People keep saying it looks like a video game controller (I don’t know of any video game controllers that look like that), but it’s actually the butterfly vertebra of a fox.  That is, the first cervical vertebra of a fox, so it’s near the top of my back.  I got it mostly because I thought it looked amazing, but I’ve always been really shy and afraid to talk to people so this little backbone is my little reminder to “have a backbone” in social situations.  Along with other things.  It was done by Diane at Syncere Tattoo in Las Cruces, New Mexico.  And I couldn’t be happier with it!

First sitting of my 5th tattoo. Done by Sherbert Cuff @Crazy Needle, in Oslo, Norway. There isnt really a big explanation behind it. Except from I wanted It to fit the “theme” for the other tattoo’s I have, and planing on doing, wich is “spiritual tattoos”
But the fox stands for one of my favorite songs (and inspiried by the music video) by Susanne Sundfør ‘White Foxes’
Where someone had commented:
“To me, the fox is a metaphor for a traumatism. The boy carries a dead fox because it’s still fresh and raw, but even as an adult he can’t rid of what he passed through. The fox is with him in his daily life (sticker), and plagues his every thoughts (foetus). In the end, he has to have it removed, as if it was a kind of tumor.”
Which inspired me.So the fox symbolizes everything Ive been through as a child, everything Ive struggled with, every day with bullying at school, and things Ive had to face myself. This will always be a part in my life I will remember, but instead of repressing it, I want to embrace it, and be reminded of how strong Ive gotten out of it.(If this gets through I will post the finished result, or watch out for it on http://freddyfrosk.tumblr.com)

My “Fox Standing On a Hill” is what I like to call this
My half sleeve done by Nic McMillan at Legacy Tattoo in Ogden, UT. He’s an amazing artist and I absolutely love all the work hes done on me.
I got this tattoo basically because I’m in love with foxes, just how beautiful they are and their playful personalities.

This is my first tattoo done by John at Empire Tattoo in Redford, MI. This tattoo is of the fox tarot card that  Hellblazer’s John Constantine pulls for his fortune of his past and future from issue #97. The fox tarot card represents Constantine’s constant evasion of death and the Devil. I initially wanted it done because it was aesthetically pleasing to me, but I really like the meaning behind it too.
